From a pdf document in Preview app
- Using the Preview App that comes default in a mac,
- Then select 'file' > 'print'.
- In the print dialog box - look at the bottom and make sure that show details is clicked so that you can see the setting written below.
- After clicking on show details, in the print dialog box >>
: Change paper size to Letter.
: Change orientation to landscape
: Untick auto rotate
: Click on scale to fit - Hit 'Print'.
From Office Word
- In the menu ribbon at the top
- Go to the page layout tab
- Select Orientation
- Select Landscape and save the document
- Select Print
- In the printer dialog box
> Select Show details at the bottom of the page
> Change Layout to Paper handling
Under paper handling :
- Tick scale to fit paper size
- Change destination paper size to US Letter
Hit Print.
